KOLs and calls
KOLs and calls
0.2% of every trade, buys and sells, before and after graduation, goes to the Verified KOLs who called the token. It is earned inside the trade, by the contract, and you can claim it any time, in the asset the token trades in (ETH, or the stock token it is paired with). Nothing is converted. There are no referral links: a call is the whole job.
The fee split
Every trade pays a 1% fee: 0.6% to the creator, 0.2% to the KOLs who called the token, 0.16% to the $LOOP buy-and-burn and 0.04% to the treasury.
Becoming a KOL
Verify your X account once on the KOLs page: put a short code in your bio. The account needs at least 1,000 followers and must be older than 6 months, and one X account goes with one wallet. The LoopUP team then reviews the account, usually within a day. Once approved you are a Verified KOL and your wallet is registered on chain; only Verified KOLs can call, and only Verified KOLs earn the KOL share.
Calling a token
- Press Call on the token page. It is one transaction from your own wallet, and it fixes the weight of your call from the market cap at that moment.
- Earlier is bigger. Every call made before the token has doubled from its opening market cap carries the maximal weight, 1.00. After that the weight is 2 × opening cap ÷ market cap: a call at 10× weighs 0.20, at 20× it weighs 0.10. The token page shows the weight a call would carry right now.
- A call earns for 48 hours, then ends. You can call the same token again afterwards, at the market cap of that moment.
- There is no daily limit on calls, but only one active call per token. A creator can't call their own token.
How the 0.2% is split
- Each trade's KOL share is divided among the token's active calls in proportion to their weight, in the same transaction. Two callers at 1.00 and 0.50 get two thirds and one third.
- Every call is paid whether or not the price went up afterwards.
- When nobody has an active call on a token, its KOL share buys back and burns $LOOP instead.
Selling ends the call
The moment any of the token leaves the wallet that called it (a sell anywhere, a transfer to another wallet, a burn), the call ends. What it earned up to then stays the KOL's; from then on that token pays them nothing, and they can call it again only once the original 48 hours would have passed. The KOL profile marks such calls as Sold. Buying more or receiving the token never ends a call.
Abuse is flagged by the backend, and the guardian can cancel an abusive call; what that call had not yet settled is burned.
Claiming
Your share is earned in the contract the moment each trade lands. Claim everything from your KOL profile at any time, in one transaction for every token and every asset. There is no waiting period, and nothing you earned expires.
Leaderboard
The KOLs page ranks KOLs by what they earned over 7 days, 30 days and all time, with their calls, active calls and strikes. The rank never changes anyone's payout: only the market cap at each call does.
